John J. DeFuria is an associate with the Corporate Group.

John focuses his practice on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, entity formation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and general corporate counseling.

Before joining CSG Law, John was an associate with a full-service Roseland-based firm, providing strategic legal advice to corporate clients ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to large international companies, in industries including pharmaceuticals and life sciences, medical device sales, trucking and logistics, hospitality, and various healthcare sub-specialties. As part of his healthcare counsel, John advised doctors, dentists and veterinarians seeking to buy and sell their professional practices.

John received a Concentration in Health Law from Seton Hall University School of Law, which allows him to provide a unique perspective in advising clients on regulatory compliance in the areas of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices, as well as licensed healthcare professionals.

John earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Delaware, and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. While in law school, John served as an associate editor on the Seton Hall Law Review, as well as President of the Peter W. Rodino Society, an Italian American philanthropic organization created to honor the legacy of Congressman Peter W. Rodino, Jr. During law school, John also had the opportunity to participate in externships with multiple global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
