3 CSG Law Attorneys Join Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill’s Transition Team

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) is pleased to announce that Francis J. Giantomasi, Dennis M. Toft and Henry J. Amoroso have been named to Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill’s Transition Team Interdisciplinary Advisory Task Force.

Frank J. Giantomasi, Co-Chair of the Executive Committee, is one of the leading real estate attorneys in the region with more than four decades of experience in all aspects of real estate acquisitions, sales, development, complex commercial transactions and Chancery litigation. He has served as Chief Development Counsel for some of the region’s major real estate projects, including the planning and development of Prudential Insurance Company’s Newark headquarters, Panasonic North America’s headquarters in Newark, Lionsgate Newark Studios and Netflix studios at the former Fort Monmouth Army base. In addition, Frank was named Governor-elect Phil Murphy’s Transition Team – Transition Counsel Committee in 2017, and he served as Chief Counsel of the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and County Counsel from 1992 to 2005.

Dennis Toft, Chair of the Environmental Group, is highly regarded as one of New Jersey’s leading Brownfields redevelopment practitioners and he counsels on all aspects of environmental law, including regulatory counseling, environmental due diligence, permitting, enforcement and environmental litigation, development, redevelopment and environmental insurance. In addition, Dennis’ experience with New Jersey government is extensive. Governor Christine Todd Whitman appointed Dennis to serve on the New Jersey Brownfields and Contaminated Site Remediation Task Force, a group created by state law to identify and market Brownfields sites. In 2002, Governor James McGreevey appointed Dennis as chairman of the task force. Dennis was also a member of Governor Chris Christie’s transition team as part of the Environmental Protection Committee, and he was appointed by Governor Richard Codey to the New Jersey Solid Waste Advisory Council. He was also a member of Governor McGreevey’s Transition Team – Environmental Committee.

Henry Amoroso, Of Counsel with the firm’s Corporate Group, focuses his practice on commercial transactions and contractual disputes, with experience in strategic analysis and turnaround development for large public and private sector institutions. Henry has extensive experience in representing school boards, public agencies, health care systems, government entities, as well as complex matters related to financial transactions and capital markets. Moreover, Henry was appointed State Monitor of New Jersey City University, where he oversees all fiscal operations, budgeting and staffing at the university.
