Four CSG Law Attorneys Named to ROI-NJ Influencers: Power List 2026

The ROI-NJ editorial team compiled these lists following a review of events from 2025 in addition to recommendations from colleagues, readers and clients. The list highlights leaders whose work shapes industries and communities across the state.

Jeffrey S. Chiesa is a former U.S Senator for New Jersey and experienced litigator and “one of the leaders shaping the long-term strategy and vision of the firm,” ROI-NJ said. His years of public service include various leadership roles such as the Attorney General of the State of New Jersey, a United States Senator, Chief Counsel to the Governor and as Executive Assistant and Counsel to the U.S. Attorney. Jeff also has experience in private practice, primarily health, hospital, and physician litigation.

Francis J. Giantomasi “is one of the leading real estate attorneys shaping the landscape and economy of New Jersey and a driving force in the expansion of the film industry in the Garden State,” according to ROI-NJ. Frank has more than four decades of experience in all aspects of real estate acquisitions, sales, development, complex commercial transactions and Chancery litigation, and he “served as chief development counsel for some of the area’s most notable mixed-use projects.” ROI-NJ said.

Marie L. Mathews serves as the Managing Member of CSG Law, providing strategic direction to the firm and ensuring exceptional counsel to clients while overseeing more than 350 employees, including over 210 attorneys. She has served in a variety of management roles at the firm, including as Practice Group Leader of the Litigation Group and Deputy General Counsel to the firm “while representing a wide array of clients in complex commercial litigation matters throughout the region,” ROI-NJ said.

Dennis Toft is a renowned environmental lawyer who provides counsel on all aspects of environmental law including regulatory counseling, environmental due diligence, permitting, enforcement and environmental litigation, development/redevelopment and environmental insurance. He also has extensive experience representing clients in numerous complicated transactions in litigation and in regulatory matters. He is “[h]ighly regarded for shaping NJ environmental policy” and “is a leading expert in Brownfields Redevelopment,” according to ROI-NJ.
