CSG Law’s Amanda Miceli Forms Women’s Surety Claims Collaborative
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) congratulates Amanda Miceli, a Member in the firm’s Surety & Fidelity Group, on founding the Women’s Surety Claims Collaborative (WSCC). WSCC is an organization dedicated to gathering, supporting, and championing the success of women in the surety claims industry.
In April, the WSCC Board—comprised of female leaders in the surety industry from New Jersey to California—will meet to plan and solidify the inaugural retreat in 2026 where women in surety claims will be invited to attend.
“In the surety world, there are beneficial organizations out there, but the necessity for a community of just women in surety claims and a yearly retreat dedicated to these women has always been apparent to me,” said Amanda. “My goals for WSCC are to establish a network of women who promote the mentorship of industry newcomers and discuss crucial surety decisions lead by women, all while gathering and enjoying some yoga, wine and a spa retreat.”
Amanda, who was recently nominated as an Emerging Leader by the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee (FSLC), litigates commercial and contract surety matters in both New Jersey and New York. Outside of litigation, Amanda advises clients regarding claim investigation, contract issues and risk management. Amanda is a frequent presenter at national surety conferences, regularly authors articles related to fidelity and surety law, and co-chairs of the FSLC’s women’s involvement subcommittee.
“I was fortunate enough to be supported in this industry by some remarkable women, including my co-sponsors and founding WSCC board members Rosa Martinez-Genzon and Elmira Howard of Anderson, McPharlin & Conners LLP, and Elizabeth Paquet of Beacon Consulting,” added Amanda. “My hope for WSCC is that it creates this type of support network for all women in surety claims.”
Amanda and her co-sponsors intend to expand WSCC to incorporate a committee with a philanthropic aspect focused on giving back to women in need across the country.
