NJICLE: An Introduction to Environmental Law in a New Climate
On October 29, from 9:35 – 10:05 am, Michael K. Plumb, Practice Group Leader of the CSG Law Environmental Group, will be speaking at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s, “An Introduction to Environmental Law in a New Climate” NJICLE program. More specifically, Mr. Plumb will discuss “Fundamentals of the Clean Water Act and Water Pollution Control Act” and delve into the laws intended to protect our environment and public health affecting people and property throughout New Jersey.
As the environment and our connection to it evolve, our legal, regulatory, and policy frameworks must adapt accordingly. This program will explore the principles of environmental law and how they apply in a shifting context, where challenges such as climate change, land resource scarcity, the demand for environmental justice, and other factors are prompting individuals, businesses, and governments to broaden their perspectives and change their behaviors.
