Practice Areas
Alyssa E. Spector practices with the firm’s Redevelopment, Land Use & Zoning Group, representing developers, property owners, and public entities in navigating the complex legal framework and regulatory schemes involving zoning, planning, and redevelopment.
Her practice has a particular emphasis on litigation arising from land use approvals and the redevelopment process. She represents clients at the trial court and appellate levels in matters including appeals of governmental decisions on land development applications, challenges to land use regulations, redevelopment designations, and affordable housing matters.
Alyssa also has experience advising clients faced with zoning, building code, or other municipal violations and has appeared in municipal courts in connection with zoning and building violations.
Before joining CSG Law, Alyssa was a partner at a northern New Jersey law firm, where her practice focused on land use litigation as well as claims against government entities and public employees in both state and federal court. She previously served as an associate at a boutique litigation firm in Essex County. Alyssa also clerked for the Honorable John T. Mullaney, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth County.
Alyssa earned her J.D. from Denver University’s Sturm College of Law, where she was an editor of the Denver University Law Review, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
