The Hon. Joseph A. Dickson and Lee Vartan Named to NJBIZ Leaders in Law List for 2025
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) congratulates the Honorable Joseph “Drew” Dickson (U.S.M.J.-retired) and Lee Vartan for their recent recognition by NJBIZ’s Leaders in Law list for 2025.
The Leaders in Law program honors legal professionals – lawyers and general counsels – whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding, NJBIZ said. This year, the program added a new category recognizing third-party neutral professionals for mediators, arbitrators, conciliators, evaluators, and others.
Judge Dickson, Chair of CSG Law’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Group, is a former Federal Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He focuses his practice on bringing closure to disputes in a timely, efficient and discrete manner through mediation and arbitration. Judge Dickson also serves as the Chair of the CSG Law Pro Bono Committee, where he is focused on expanding opportunities and increasing engagement throughout the firm on pro bono matters.
Lee, Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Law Team, is widely recognized as one of the region’s premier criminal defense and trial attorneys. He regularly represents individuals and companies in high-stakes investigations and prosecutions in New Jersey, New York, and throughout the country. Lee has previously served as a federal prosecutor in Newark, in the governor’s office as counsel to the governor, and as the second highest-ranking official in the attorney general’s office, where he had oversight of the largest civil, criminal, and consumer-related investigations and prosecutions in the state.
