CSG Law Member Daniel Barnes Appointed New Jersey Superior Court Judge
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) is pleased to congratulate Member Daniel D. Barnes on his appointment to the bench of the New Jersey Superior Court.
Daniel was appointed by Governor Phil Murphy on May 12, 2025. The state Senate Judiciary Committee approved his nomination on June 26, and the full Senate confirmed the nomination on June 30, 2025. He will begin his judicial service in the Passaic County courthouse later this month.
Daniel Barnes is a veteran litigator who advises clients regarding all types of business and litigation issues, including contract and partnership disputes, employment covenant and related litigation, tortious interference claims, franchising matters, disputes involving health care companies, environmental claims, trust and estate disputes, FINRA arbitrations relating to employee claims, and corporate governance.
In his practice, Daniel has represented employers either seeking to enforce or contest the validity of a restrictive covenant imposed upon a current or former employee, including covenants not to compete, covenants not to solicit customers or employees, and covenants relating to the protection of confidential or proprietary information.
