CSG Law Welcomes Associates Andrew and Avi
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) welcomes associates Andrew Ross Simon and Avi Meger to the firm’s Employment and Real Estate Groups, respectively.
Andrew Ross Simon focuses his practice on employment and labor-related matters, leveraging his experience as a former Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General with the Labor Enforcement Section.
Andrew pivoted to law after working as a special education teacher in Queens, N.Y. While in law school, he interned for the Honorable Patty Shwartz at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, in the litigation bureau at the Office of the New York State Attorney General, and for the Honorable Stewart D. Aaron at the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York.
Andrew earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law where he was a Senior Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review, Vol. 53, a Dean’s Scholar, a member of the Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Board, and a Leadership Fellow.
Avi Meger focuses his practice on real estate and asset-based commercial lending, contracts, commercial leasing, residential and commercial landlord/tenant law, title review, and redevelopment. Avi represents landlords in landlord/tenant disputes, buyers, sellers and lenders in commercial and residential real estate acquisitions and loan closings, drafting, and negotiating contracts, purchase and sale agreements, and commercial and residential lease agreements.
Avi has experience reviewing condominium and cooperative governing documents and preparing resolutions, as well as preparing and drafting resolutions for public entities such as the Bergen County Utilities Authority. In addition, he has been involved in tax appeals, including the preparation, and drafting of detailed memorandums and resolutions for review by the appropriate governing body.
Before joining CSG Law, Avi held previous positions as an associate attorney at northern New Jersey law firms. Avi also worked in the private financial sector reviewing mortgage-back securities from the 2008 housing crisis and analyzed finances as an anti-money laundering consultant.
Avi earned his J.D. from New York Law School and his B.A., in Biology, from Clark University.
